Description
At Motobilt, our heritage began with Builder Parts. This kit evolved over 2 years of development and shows our attention to all of the little details, even in a Builder Kit.
The Motobilt High Steering Brackets for Super Duty 60 Axles is a premium Builder kit that solves the issue of raising your steering linkages while keeping proper steering geometry. This kit is adaptable to different shapes of castings used on different model year steering knuckles.
Fits 2005-2012 F-350 Super Duty Steering Knuckles. Kit includes parts for both the driver side and passenger side steering knuckles.
The function of these brackets are to raise the steering tie rod and drag link by approx. 6 inch to help keep these vulnerable steering components from trail damage. Works with full mechanical steering or mechanical steering with hydro assist.
Constructed from 1/4 inch high strength steel that is precision CNC formed. Parts ship unwelded and key together with tabs and slots. We have included machined tubes to locate the brackets off of the existing housings.
Drilling of the tapered tie rod holes in the OEM knuckle castings is required. The top plates are double laminated with a reinforcing plate to provide a full 1/2 inch thick bolting surface for increased strength and longevity.
All parts of the kit are designed to scribe perfectly with the OEM 2009-2012 F-350 Super Duty Steering Knuckle casting without modification. Additional grinding is required for final fitment of four (4) parts for 2005-2008 F-350 Super Duty Steering Knuckle castings. We have included laser etched scribe lines on the parts that require trimming.
This is the type of Builder Kit that every fabricator dreams of. Someone else has done all of the work up front for you and has even thought about adding scribe lines to eliminate any guess work.
